1988- Hikitia Heavy Lift LtdAdditional NotesCrane lift 80 tons. Sailed to New Zealand via Panama taking 77 days arriving on Boxing Day 1926. Steamed from UK with the crane up. Side keelsons were later removed to enable it to go onto Patent Slip during war as floating dock was very busy. They were never replaced which made it a difficult vessel to handle. It was like a floating saucer in Wellington's wind.
Subsequently sold to a trust who have maintained the crane in an operating condition. Towed to Lyttelton in 2009 for drydocking and hull repairs.
