1936 Japanese shipbreakers Osaka in tow of KANNAAdditional NotesWas the first vessel in the USSCo to have steam turbine propulsion and was the first such vessel to operate in the southern hemisphere. She was built for the express passenger service between Melbourne and Launceston. In December 1904 she made record passage of 9 hours between the two ports. Transferred to subsidiary company Tasmanian Steamers Pty Ltd in 1922 she remained in service for 32 years.
